The purpose is to consider the award of a contract for Building Cleaning and Maintenance Service, as described in the specifications, at the Library's two locations: (1) the "Melville Building," located at 510 Sweet Hollow Road Melville, New York 11747, and (2) the "New Dix Hills Building" located at 55 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills NY 11747. The Board of Trustees seeks bids for a contract up to three (3) years, beginning July 1, 2025. A draft certificate of insurance reflecting compliance with the insurance requirements herein must be submitted with your bid Each bid must be submitted on the official forms furnished by the Library VIA U.S. Mail or other carrier, or in person prevailing time. Emailed and faxed bids will not be accepted. The failure or refusal to execute the contract within 15 days after notice of acceptance shall constitute a default, and in the Trustees* best interest, may constitute grounds for rejection of your bid. Each bid shall be firm forty-five (45) days after the date set for submission of bids. The successful bidder must execute the contract within fifteen (15) days of written notification award or may be deemed in default Failure to comply may result in rejection of the bid. The Board reserves the right to award a contract for one (1), two (2) or three (3) years to the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications. The selected term will be based on the Board's assessment of what is in the Library's best interests. The Library reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive any irregularities in any or all bids, and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the Trustees after all bids have been examined and checked.
