This project has been awarded and will be completed in 2 phases. Phase 1 was completed in July of 2025. Phase 2 will begin after the end of the school year in summer of 2026 and be completed before school begins in the fall of 2026. This project was awarded to High Plains Home Improvement out of Gove Kansas at the amount of $92,912 for phase 1 and $210,000 for phase 2. The below original solicitation has been left for reference. Request for Proposal Sewer Lining at Ellis High School Items 1-3 are to be bid as a single job. All work must be completed outside of the school day (weekends, nights, Summer, and Holiday breaks), and will not cause any part of the school system to be shut down while in use. All work must be completed in full by July 15, 2025. Bids for Items 1-3 must include all preparation and additional cleaning necessary to successfully complete the job. 1. Approximately 315' Liner for 4-6" sewer lines, approximately 55 reinstatements, cutting access holes, repairing concrete at access holes. Job to include the cleaning and prepping of all lines to be lined. This job is to line the cast iron 4-6" drain lines under the concrete from the wood shop/ metal shop locker room area to the science room tunnel (plumbed in PVC) and then from the tunnel under the gang restrooms towards the front office area and on out to the clay tile outside of the building. Includes the staff restrooms. 2. Approximately 535' Liner for 4" sewer lines, approximately 55 reinstatements, cutting access holes, repairing concrete at access holes. Job to include the cleaning and prepping of all lines to be lined. This job is to line 4" cast iron from the ag shop pit drain through the Home Economic classroom and maintenance room into the boiler room, includes the kitchen line as far as the 4" goes. Through the boiler room (several turns) and out the east side to the clay tile. Includes the line to the laundry room and the boys locker room. Includes the girls locker room and out to the clay tile. Items 3-5 is to be bid as a possible addition to Items 1-2. USD 388 understands that the quote to complete Item 4 is only good if done in conjunction with Items 1-2. USD 388 requests that the quote for Item 4 be separate so that the Board of Education can decide whether it is financially prudent to do at this time. 3. Video inspection of the Kitchen and Locker Room drains to determine need for liner repair work. 4. Cleaning and preparation work to install liner and pre-liner if it is determined repair work is needed in the Kitchen and Locker Room drains 5.
