The work is located within the Town of Winfield in Lake County, Indiana. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. A certified or cashiers check payable to the Town of Winfield or a bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. All checks from unsuccessful bidders will be returned to them by the Town upon selection of the successful bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to provide both a Performance and Payment Bond each portion in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract amount. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the Town deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
