Renovation of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Electrification/Heat Pump Systems/Electrical Service Upgrade/Roofs/Fire Alarm. 900 Continuous Calendar Days. Three Thousand ($3000) Dollars per Continuous Calendar Day and as set forth in the Construction Contract Page CC-3 and Appendix B. Effective December 30, 2024 all Contractors and Subcontractors must register with the Department of Labor. Please submit a copy of your Certificate of Registration when submitting your Bid. The SCA will only award a Contract upon receipt of the Certificate of Registration. Only those bidders who have been specifically invited by the SCA to submit a bid under the referenced solicitation, will be eligible for a contract award under same. Additionally, to be eligible for an award of the referenced work, the low responsive bidder must be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the SCA during the bid evaluation period, that it has successfully completed work on a similar project in terms of cost, scope and complexity. Bidders are to include in their Lump Sum Bid Amount a total allowance for an amount of $449,000.00 as specified in Technical Specification Section S01010 "Summary of Work", Article 1.03. Bidders shall submit a LUMP SUM BID AMOUNT in the form attached as Appendix A to the Construction Contract to complete the project within the "Performance Period" after normal school hours under the conditions specified in the Contract Documents (as defined in the SCA's General Conditions dated July 1, 2021) inclusive of the Phasing Exhibit. A Bid Bond along with its Power Attorney prepared on the form attached to the Construction Contract as Appendix C or a Certified Check of the Bidder for five (5%) percent of the Bid Amount must accompany the Lump Sum Bid Form (Appendix A). A "Wicks" subcontractor is defined as a subcontractor performing construction work in the HVAC, Plumbing & Gas Fitting or Electrical Trades and (except for HVAC) licensed to do business in the CITY OF NEW YORK in that trade. The SCA has determined that the work under this solicitation involves HVAC, Plumbing and Gas Fitting and Electrical Work. All proposed "Wicks" trade subcontractors must be prequalified by the SCA. However, said firm must not be "disqualified", "suspended", or "ineligible", at the time of Bid Opening. Therefore, the Bidder must include with its bid, and in accordance with the Information for Bidders, the names of all its proposed "Wicks" trade subcontractors and estimates for each of the trades listed in the previous sentence. The Bidder must complete and submit with its bid the "Wicks" Subcontractor Request Form. If the bid for any Wicks trade is $1,000,000 or more, the subcontractors proposed for these trades by the Bidder must be prequalified by the SCA at the time of Bid Opening to do work greater than $1,000,000. The Contractor shall pay to the SCA as liquidated damages the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000) Dollars for each continuous calendar day the Work shall not be substantially complete after the above-stated Substantial Completion date or any authorized extension thereof. The Surety and the SCA reserve all rights and defences each may have against the other; provided, however, that the Surety expressly agrees that its reservation of rights shall not provide a basis for non-performance of its obligation to commence and to complete all Work as provided herein. The Surety waives all rights to refuse to perform, and will perform to completion of the such Contract; provided, however, it reserves all defences to such performance and all claims to damages it may suffer as a result of such performance which is subsequently found to be unjustified by a court of competent jurisdiction. The SCA reserves the right to require the Bidder to provide additional information and/or clarifications regarding its financial resources following the bid opening.
