Trout Unlimited, Inc. (TU) and the Shoshone National Forest (Forest Service) are requesting scope of work and cost proposals for engineering services to address streambank erosion and floodplain reconnection at the South Fork Work Center. The scope of work includes survey, alternative analysis, design, project bidding, construction oversight, and optional items. The intent of the project is to reduce streambank erosion, protect infrastructure (i.e., South Fork Work Center, corrals, pastureland) and create aquatic habitat. Stream restoration and stabilization should be accomplished using large wood material-based stream restoration practices that improves habitat for aquatic species, develops riparian and wetland habitat, restores floodplain function and fluvial processes. The project will be a collaborative effort with the Forest Service and TU. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
