Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from qualified contractors to furnish and install a pre-fabricated canopy system over an existing walkway connecting the Scheman Building and Hilton Coliseum on the campus of ISU. ISU is soliciting proposalsfrom qualified Contractors to furnish, deliver and install a canopy system over a walkway connecting the Scheman Building and Hilton Coliseum. a) Summary of Work i) The project consists of the construction and installation of a pre-fabricated, metal canopy system over the existing, elevated, concrete walkway connecting the southeast entrance of the Scheman Building to the west entrance of Hilton Coliseum at the second level. The canopy will include a sloped roof structure, transparent side panels/windscreens, integrated lighting, and radiant heating to provide year-round weather protection for pedestrians. ii) The scope of work includesthe procurement and complete installation of the canopy system, including allstructural components, lighting and heating elements, utility rough-ins, infrastructure, and pathways necessary for a fully functionalsystem. Coordination with existing building systems and site conditions will be required. iii) The layout and reference drawings provided are intended to convey the general configuration, design intent, and alignment of the canopy system. These drawings are not fully detailed construction documents and may require adjustment to accommodate the specific requirements of the selected canopy system and manufacturer. It is the responsibility of the contractor or manufactural to make necessary modifications to ensure complete and proper installation while maintaining alignment with the overall design intent and code compliance.
