Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Kelowna, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The City of Kelowna is inviting qualified proponents to submit proposals for the progressive designbuild of a pre-fabricated industrial steel frame building expansion. The proposed structure will measure approximately 9 meters in width by 16.5 meters in depth and will be integrated with the existing engineered steel building located at the Glenmore Landfill. The existing facility is a fully enclosed and insulated steel structure manufactured by Varco Pruden Buildings, featuring a Firestone Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) membrane roof. The new addition will be a non-enclosed, open-air structure attached to the south (left) side of the current building. It is intended to provide covered storage for heavy equipment used in landfill operations. Ground improvements and foundation work for the expansion were completed during a previous phase, and a compacted gravel pad is already in place within the expansion footprint. Hard surfacing of this pad is not required as part of this project.
