St. Johns County is soliciting quotes from qualified Contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment required to remove and dispose of five (5) chemical tanks and replace with five (5) new chemical tanks. Contractor must furnish and install a suitable temporary tank at each site to maintain plant operation until new tanks are on-line. Contractor will provide "turnkey" installations at the three different sites. Please see Attachment "E" for Scope of Work. Note: All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Encouraged Not to Contact Any Member of the St. Johns County Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified Contact Person. St. Johns County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, waive minor informalities, or award the bid/proposal which best serves the interests of St. Johns County. Site #1: Northwest Utilities Water Treatment Plant 11185 St. Johns Parkway St. Augustine, FL 32092 Tank Details: (2) 5,250 gallon double-walled tanks. Tanks must be rated for a specific gravity of 1.9 for use with sodium hypochlorite. Tanks must measure no more than 120" in diameter and 155" in height. Tank must have a 4" u-vent, a 2" fill connection, a 4" bulkhead for an ultrasonic level sensor and a 24" safe surge manway on top. Tank shall have a 2" titanium double-flanged fitting on the bottom sidewall. Tank must have a reverse sight-glass. Tank will have a 160 MPH tank restraint system made of 316 stainless steel cables and HDLPE feet and attachments. Minimum 3 year limited warranty. NOTE: These tanks are outdoors beneath an aluminum lean-to structure. A site visit is strongly recommended prior to submitting quote. Tanks to be removed are 8,700 gallons each. Site #2: CR-214 Mainland Water Treatment Plant 2160 Water Plant Rd. St. Augustine, FL 32092 Tank Details: (2) 2,550 gallon double-walled HDLPE tanks. Tanks must be rated for a specific gravity of 1.9 for use with sodium hypochlorite. Tanks must measure no more than 96" in diameter and 120" in height. Tank must have a 4" vent running outside of the building, a new 2" fill connection and a 24" safe surge manway on top. The vent line must have a 24-mesh bug screen at the end. The fill line will have a 2" isolation valve. Tank shall have a 2" titanium double-flanged fitting on the bottom sidewall with a 2" isolation valve at the bottom of the tank connected to a 1" flexible piping connected to a 1" isolation ball valve connecting to existing 1" feed piping. Minimum 3 year limited warranty.
