Reference Number 0000388023 Question Deadline 05/28/2025 at 10:00 AM PT Questions are submitted online Yes The City of Highland, in the County of San Bernardino, proposes to rehabilitate pavement on various streets in the City including pavement grinding, localized pavement removal and replacement, and asphalt rubber and conventional asphalt overlay. It also includes removal of in- road warning lights system, installation of a rectangular flashing beacon system, adjusting valve covers and manholes to final grade, and installation of striping and markings. Work is located within the City of Highland, in the County of San Bernardino, California. Contract time- (60) working days No bid will be considered unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by cash or a check payable to the City of Highland, certified by a responsible bank, for an amount which shall not be less than ten percent ( 10%) of the grand total bid or by a bond for the amount over and above all statutory exemptions, or by a bond of an accredited surety company. The check or bond will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder refuses to enter into a contract within ten ( 10) working days following receipt of the contract from the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a labor and materials bond and a faithful performance bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent ( 100%) of the contract price, such bonds to be secured by a surety company or surety companies satisfactory to the City Council of the City of Highland. For any monies earned by the Contractor and withheld by the City of Highland to ensure the performance of the contract, the Contractor may, at his request and expense, substitute securities equivalent to the amount withheld in the form and manner and subject to the conditions provided in Sections 10263 and 22300 of the California Public Contract Code.
