PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND The City of Miramar's Public Works Department is soliciting quotes from qualified contractors to furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and tools needed to perform all operations in connection with tree cutting and removal, tree trimming and cutback and canal bank clearing along various sections of County Line Road. 2. SCOPE OF WORK The successful Contractor shall perform the following services: i. Tree Cutting and Removal o Cut and remove all trees growing within the public right-of-way that obstruct access or pose a hazard. o Remove large trees that have fallen across the roadway and are currently blocking access. o Grind all stumps flush with or below ground level. ii. Tree Trimming and Cutback o Trim trees to provide a minimum clearance of 20 feet above ground level. o Remove overgrown limbs and encroaching vegetation along the roadway shoulder and canal bank edges. iii. Canal Bank Clearing o Clear canal banks along the subject corridor to allow maintenance access and visibility. o Preserve sufficient vegetation to stabilize banks and prevent erosion. o Remove only excess or invasive plant material as needed to achieve access and line-of-sight. Questions are due by Tuesday June 3, 2025. METHOD OF AWARD Award of this Request for Quotations will be made to the most responsive, responsible Contractor with the lowest price, whose quote meets all the requirements of this solicitation. To be deemed responsive, a Responder shall submit a quote which conforms to all material aspects to the requirements set forth in this Request for Quotations. To be deemed responsible, a Responder shall have the capability in all aspects to perform fully the requirements set forth in this solicitation. Responder may be required to sign a contract with the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive any informality in a bid/proposal and/or in the bidding/selection process, and to make awards, if awarded, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder/offeror as deemed in the best interest of the City. CITY'S RIGHTS RESERVED The City reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, to waive any formalities or minor irregularities in the Solicitation process, and to award or not award a contract based on this solicitation, as deemed in the best interest of the City.
