Project Description: The City of Palo Alto is seeking a contractor to replace the existing fountain grate at the Lytton Plaza Fountain located at 200 University Avenue, Palo Alto CA, 94301. 1. The Contractor shall remove the existing fountain drainage system which consists of fibergrate molded grating covered with cobble stones, and replace with a new, secure, anti-slip metal grating system. 2. The Contractor shall verify all distances and dimensions in the field and bring any discrepancies to the attention of the Landscape Architect for a decision before proceeding with the work. 3. All the work shall be performed by persons familiar with fountain construction work and under supervision of a qualified foreman. 4. The Contractor shall provide manufacturer's detailed shop drawing or annotated catalog cuts of ALL components for review by the Landscape Architect prior to ordering and assembling equipment. 5. The fountain construction details herein are schematic design drawings to establish the intent of the design, scope of work and location of fountain. 6. The Contractor shall protect all existing construction from damage. The Contractors shall be responsible for the repair of any damage to existing construction caused by the activities of the Contractor or the Contractor's representatives.
