Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cedar Lake, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The scope of the project includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete this project within the Town of Cedar Lake as follows: The Shades Subdivision Improvement Project, AA & AB includes concrete, pipe removal, common excavation, grading work, casting adjustment, storm sewer manhole and pipe installation, milling, tack coat, undistributed HMA patching, HMA and concrete driveway construction, HMA paving, HMA overlay, concrete curb, landscape restoration, and maintaining of traffic and resident access on all subdivision streets and approach roadways. It is important to the Town that the work be conducted in a timely, organized, and sequential manner. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Project name marked clearly on the outside. Contractors must be pre-qualified with the Indiana Public Works Certification Board prior to starting work on any local public works project estimated to be over three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000). Contractors will not be required to be qualified for a local unit public works project if the contract to be awarded is less than three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000); and the local unit of government complies with IC 36-1-12 in awarding the contract for the public works project. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Town of Cedar Lake, or bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price shall be submitted with the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish, execute, and deliver to the Town of Cedar Lake a Certificate of Insurance and satisfactory performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the Bid Price to guarantee the faithful performance of the Work and payment of suppliers and subcontractors within seven (7) days of the Notice of Award. Questions shall be received no later than 5:00 PM (Central) on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Responses (as required) will be provided by no later than 5:00 PM (Central) on Thursday, June 5, 2025. The Town of Cedar Lake reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and the right to waive informalities in the best interest of the Town.
