Renovation of an educational facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Phased renewal of the former Biological Sciences Building, now referred to as the LIFT Centre facility. Gross Building Area: 55,000m2. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals for architectural/engineering consulting services closed at the owner in June 2025; the awarded vendor has not been named yet. Scope of work consists of strategic planning, pre-design, functional space programming, and schematic and design development ONLY. Schematic design will proceed in 2026. Construction of the first phase is expected to start mid-2027. Estimated cost for the first phase of construction is $281.7 million.
