REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS The North Dakota Mill and Elevator Association (NDM) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from Civil Engineering firms (registered professional engineers in the state of North Dakota) interested in providing services for the development of concept and construction design installation of new rail track. A. Project Information 1. Civil Engineering Services i. Conduct site surveys and inspections of the current track layout. ii. Provide stamped engineering drawings for installation plans. iii. Confirm subgrade and drainage design is suitable for rail track installation. 2. Rail Track Installation i. Supply and/or install rail track per AREMA (American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association) standards. ii. Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and ballasting of the panels. iii. Install track hardware, switches, and accessories as needed. 3. Quality Control & Testing i. Conduct track geometry testing. ii. Ensure compliance with Class I or II rail standards, depending on usage. iii. Submit final as-built documentation B. Services to be provided 1. Provide concept and design, plans specifications and bidding packages. 2. Coordinate design with NDM equipment suppliers. 3. Review shop drawings. 4. Assist the NDM with questions during the bidding and construction phases. C.
