As of February 23, 2026, an architect and construction manager have been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Construct an expansion to and renovation of TCAT Nashville: Sumner County, including site development, utilities, parking, and landscaping. The project will enhance technical training operations to better support the northern region of TCAT Nashville's service region and will help meet employment demand in the local, regional, and state workforce. The proposed expansion will be approximately 44,000 square feet and will house the three premier programs consisting of Machine Tool, Welding, and Industrial Maintenance, as well as expanded space for Cosmetology. The existing building is approximately 43,000 square feet of which approximately 34,000 square feet will be renovated. It is expected to house the following programs: Cosmetology; Nursing; Computer Information Technology; HVAC; Industrial Electricity; Automotive Technology as well as space for a future program to be determined.
