The City of Olathe, Kansas, Infrastructure Department is requesting contractors to submit qualifications for On-Call Construction Services on the following waterline and sanitary sewer rehabilitation and improvements projects, as well as any emergency repairs: Low Pressure Foreman, Neighborhood Sanitary Sewer Improvement, Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation I&I and Waterline Rehabilitation Improvements Program. The City of Olathe is requesting qualified contractors to 'short-list' for bids and provide broad-level input during the design process. Input from the contractor is not expected to be burdensome or time-consuming; the goal of the partnership is to streamline design that ultimately makes the project easier for the contractor and more cost effective for the City. Contractors will not be held responsible for input that leads to faults in design. Bids for rehabilitation work will not be released to the public and will only be released to the short-listed contractors for bid. Contractors experienced with trenchless technologies and other innovative approaches to waterline and sanitary sewer rehabilitation are preferable but not a sole requirement for qualifying for rehabilitation work.
