The work of Contract No. 9 & Water Distribution Upgrades is generally described as follows: Furnish and install approximately 1,650 linear feet of 8" C900 DR14 PVC water main along Holman City Road, approximately 100 linear feet of 8" and 6" DIP, including valves, fittings, directional drilling (with and without casing), hydrants, connections, pressure testing, disinfection, cut/cap of existing water main, remove and dispose of existing hydrants and valve; installation of approximately 10 new water services including corporations, curb stops; remove and replace existing hydrants throughout system; selected water main insertion valves throughout system; miscellaneous work and site restoration. Contract No. 9 includes Additive Bids as described below: Additive No. 1 & Approximately 1,800 linear feet of 2" HDPE directional drill sewer force main along Holman City Road (with and without casing) including two grinder pump stations and sewer laterals. Additive No. 2 & Hydrants and Valves Replacement Additive No. 3 & Existing Vault Improvements Bids will be received for: Contract No. 9 & Water Distribution Upgrades at the following location, until the stated date and time. Bidders of Record Only, Within 30 Days After Bid Opening Will Receive a 100 Percent Refund of the Deposit Price. All Refunds Will Be Made by the Town of Paris. Each Bid Proposal Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check Payable to the Town of Paris in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid Price. Complete Bid Bond Forms Are Included in the Bid Proposal Section of the Project Manual. If a Bidder Fails to Enter Into a Contract With the Town of Paris, Upon Acceptance of Bid, the Bid Security Shall Be Forfeited to the Town of Paris. The Town of Paris Secured a Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (Wiia) Grant and Plans to Obtain Long Term Financing (Loan) for This Project Through the Environmental Facilities Corporation Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (Efc-dwsrf). A Bid Packet is Included in the Bid Proposal Section of the Project Manual. The Bidder Shall Comply With All Requirements of the Efc-dwsrf Bid Packet. The Town of Paris Encourages the Participation of Mwbe Contractors for This Project. No Bidder May Withdraw His Bid Within Forty-five (45) Days After the Date of the Bid Opening. The Successful Bidder Must Provide a One Hundred Percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond With a Surety Company Satisfactory to the Town of Paris and Conforming to the Requirements of Article 6 of the General Conditions. Bidders Are Required to Certify That Bids Have Been Prepared Without Collusion With Other Bidders, Subcontractors, or Suppliers. Each Bidder Must Sign a Non-collusion Certification Statement Included in the Bid Proposal of the Project Manual. The Town of Paris Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities or to Reject Any and All Bids. Bidders are not to include sales taxes in their bid proposal on materials, equipment and supplies incorporated in this Project.
