Project Description: This federally funded project is located at Madison County Transit's (MCT) headquarters at 1 Transit Way, Pontoon Beach, Illinois, and consists of concrete paving for bus lot, access road and vehicular parking, seal and stripe existing employee asphalt lots, installation of conduit for future EV charging area, remove and replace existing fence at various locations, site lighting and video surveillance including all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the work according to the plans and specifications. Financial assistance is being provided in part by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) which is under the jurisdiction of the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). The successful bidder will be required to comply with Buy America regulations, all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations and the prevailing wage rates pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act. It is the policy of the USDOT that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) as defined in 49 CFR Part 26 shall have an equal opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with Federal funds. In this regard, MCT and its contractors and subcontractors shall take all necessary and reasonable steps in accordance with 49 CFR Part 26 to ensure that small businesses, including DBEs, have an equal opportunity to compete on and perform on this contract.
