Union County Board of County Commissioners (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: County Road 238 North All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: Base Bid: Mill and resurface approximately 39,500 L.F. (7.50 miles) of existing asphalt roadway along CR 238 N, with driveway apron construction, cross drain replacement from Sta. 1+00.00 to Sta. 266+00.00, safety edge additions, sodding, driveway apron construction, signing and pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic. Widen and resurface approximately 1,000 L.F. (0.19 miles) of existing roadway along CR 229 N, with shoulder grading, safety edge additions, sodding, driveway apron construction, signing and pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic. Alternate 1: Additional drainage improvements, including side drain improvements within full project limits, cross drain replacement from Sta. 266+00.00 to Sta. 395+96.60, and sodding. An additional 30 days will be added to the contract duration listed below if Alternate 1 is accepted in bid. Bids are requested for the following Contract: COUNTY ROAD 238 NORTH The Project has an expected duration of 125 days. Contractor shall be prequalified by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in work classes required for this project. Prospective Bidders may view the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this Project.
