Site work for a civil project in Sugar Land, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
For Sugar Creek Water Plant, the scope of work includes the installation of a new diesel generator with a base fuel tank, along with a Service entrance rated Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and a dual-purpose docking station. The contractor will be responsible for preparing the site, which includes constructing new concrete foundations, slabs, platforms, grating, and handrails as required. The contractor will handle the removal of any existing equipment and the demolition of old concrete pads. Once the new equipment is in place, the contractor will perform final site grading to ensure the site is properly prepared and completed according to specifications. Additionally, final site grading will be performed after the completion of all installations to ensure proper leveling and drainage. The contractor will furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to complete the work as specified. PLC/SCADA programming and modification to owner facilities will be performed by owner pre-selected SCADA integrator (Prime Controls). For First Colony Water Plant, the scope of work includes the rehabilitation of the existing Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and the installation of a new diesel generator, sub-base fuel tank along with a proposed dual-purpose docking station. The contractor will be responsible for preparing the site, which includes constructing new concrete foundations, slabs, platforms, grating, and handrails as required. Additionally, final site grading will be performed after the completion of all installations to ensure proper leveling and drainage. The contractor will furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to complete the work as specified. Necessary replies will be issued to bidders of record as addenda, which become part of the bidding instruments. Oral instructions do not form a part of the bidding instruments. The miscellaneous improvements include the following items: Installation of New Diesel Fuel Management Systems Rust Prevention, Painting, and Protective Coatings Repairs to existing Fuel Storage Tanks. Before commencing any miscellaneous improvement tasks, a site visit should be conducted at each facility to verify the scope of work. Existing conditions may differ from those when the project scope was initially developed. This visit will be coordinated with the Owner's designated representative to assess the site and confirm the feasibility of the proposed improvements. The objectives of the site visit include: Verifying the physical space and layout. Ensuring all necessary infrastructure and utilities are available. Identifying potential challenges that may arise during installation. Discussing any required modifications or special considerations for the initial design or installation plan. LOCATION OF WORK: FIRST COLONY WATER PLANT 1950 FIRST COLONY BLVD, SUGAR LAND, TX, 77479 SUGAR CREEK WATER PLANT 2030 COUNTRY CLUB BLVD, SUGAR LAND, TX, 77478 Questions regarding this bid must be received by 5:00 PM on or before 05/23/2025. Substantial Completion within 480 Calendar Days +Final completion- 30 Calendar Days from Substantial Completion ; Liquidated Damage Amount for Substantial Completion: $500 per Calendar Day, Final Completion: $50 per Calendar Day 1. Remove and dispose of existing equipment and materials, including the demolition of the old concrete pads as necessary for the installation of new equipment as shown onplans. 2. Provide and install a new 750kW diesel generator with a 48hr sub-base fuel tank and other ancillary components as per the contract documents. 3. Provide and install a mini-power center to power electrical ancillaries for the proposed equipment. 4. Provide and install a new 120A service entrance-rated automatic transfer switch (ATS) inside theboster pump room to ensure seamless power transition during outages, as per the contract documents. 5. Provide and install a new 120A dual-purpose docking station for temporary portable generator conections, enablingboth primary andbackup power flexibility. 6. Perform all necesary electrical work, including conduit runs, cabling, and connectionsbetween the new generator, ATS, and docking station. 7. Instal grounding systems as per contract documents andNEC requirements. 8. Remove and relocate existing chemical piping as shown on the plans. 9. Remove diesel engine forboster pump no.4 as shown on plans and shorten existing BP-4 skid. 10. Construct concrete foundations for the diesel generator andbase fuel tank as per contract documents. 11. Instal necesaryplatforms, grating, and handrails for equipment access and safety. 12. Recoat weatherheadper specifications. Mark site address on the metering enclosure. Color to be ASA-61 light gray. 13. Complete final site grading and landscaping after all installation and civil works are finished to ensure proper drainage and appearance. 14. Contractor shall perform comissioning, start-up, and testing of al new equipment as required by the contract documents. Coordinate with equipment suppliers to obtain their services for comissioning, start-up and testing
