Binghamton University is seeking a qualified contractor for hazardous material removal, interior demolition of approximately 4,200 SF. This includes but is not limited to mechanical, plumbing, electrical services and equipment, interior demising walls, door, lab casework, finishes and flooring. Renovation of existing lab space of approximately 4,200 SF. This includes but not limited to new partitions, doors, ceiling, floor, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services. This is a multiple prime project, this contract is for the Plumbing work. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 23% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 7% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Contract term: 240 Calendar Days The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: BU is looking for a contractor to complete the following: 1. Interior upgrades: sf. of 140,000 sf building.: a. Abatement: Removal of all hazardous material. This will include but not limited to, asbestos flooring, fittings, fire caulk, and adhesives. b. Construction: New interior partitions, floor and ceiling finishes, doors and minor roof patching and repair. c. Structural: Increase roof opening size in cast-in-place concrete deck to accommodate new duct work. d. HVAC: Systems to be replaced include but not limited to: New Air Handler, Exhaust Fans, duct work, and all outdated heating and cooling systems and their components. e. Electrical: New power distribution and lighting. f. Plumbing: removal and replacement of all outdated plumbing systems including but not limited to Domestic water lines, storm and waste piping and venting and support systems for mechanical systems.
