COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 3327 for the improvement of Deer Park-Milan Road - from Regal Lane at Bear Creek to US-2 - in Sections 33 & 34 in Township 29N, Range 43E, W.M. by HMA planing and paving, replacing/installing guardrail, signing, pavement markings, clearing, trimming and cleanup, project traffic control, and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The following is applicable to Federal-aid projects. The County of Spokane, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby noti-fies all bidders that it will affir-matively ensure that any con-tract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvan-taged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discrim-inated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. BID DEPOSIT REQUIRED. No bid may be considered for public work unless it is accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, case, cashier's check or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposed. If the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fails to enter into the contract and furnish the contractor's bond as required within ten delays after notice of the award, exclusive of the day of notice, the amount of the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the County and the contract awarded to the next lowest and best bidder. The successful bidder will be required to file a performance bond in the full amount of the contract price which bond shall be furnished by a Surety Company acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners. If the bid deposit is "cash" and is in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check or certified check the checks are to be made payable to the Spokane County Treasurer. Cash bid deposits are to be accompanied by a completed Bid Deposit Form (see Appendix). Cash bid deposits of all unsuccessful bidders shall be returned after the contract is awarded and the required contractors bond and proof of insurance given by the successful bidder is accepted by the Board of County Commissioners. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of a single bid and to waive all informalities in the bidding. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
