Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in New Castle, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
New Castle County is seeking sealed bids for playground safety surfacing installation, repair, and replacement, at various County properties on a time and materials basis. Surfacing material can be submitted as a standalone proposal with installation not included if it is a service not provided or vice versa. Questions concerning the project should be submitted in writing via email to Frank Penta at frank.j.penta@newcastlede.gov by end of day on Friday, June 6th. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing : o Certified wood playground mulch that complies with ASTM F1292 and ASTM F2075 standards. o Mulch that is free of contaminants, including nails, metal, plastics, and other hazardous materials. o Delivery of mulch to specified playground locations. If the selected vendor is responsible for install: The vendor is responsible for preserving existing vegetation and must be proactive in identifying areas that may require clearing prior to work beginning. Areas that may be disrupted must be brought to the County's attention and must be agreed to. Any damage to trees, root systems, etc, will be the vendors responsibility to stabilize at projects end.
