Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The general work requested is: Construction of, variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, 8" concrete Pavements, concrete traffic island, variable thickness concrete base, 6" Concrete base, pavement grinding, concrete curb and gutter, 5" concrete walks, Sealing pavement joints and cracks, pavement grinding, installation of conduit, Fiberglass/polymer concrete pull boxes, and other electrical appurtenance, Signage and signage installation, various pavement markings, gravel filling, Concrete removals, pavement marking, sewer work, water work, etc.; RG5230220314 South 3rd Street - West Bruce Street: Bradley Tech RG5230220315 North 20th Street - West Brown Street: Brown Street Academy RG5230220316 South 40th Street - West Forest Home Avenue: Manitoba School RG5230220317 North 50th Street - West Keefe Avenue: Yeshiva Elementary School RG5230220318 North 53rd Street - West Locust Street: Mt. Cavalry Lutheran School RG5230220319 North 64th Street - West Fiebrantz Avenue: Blessed Savior School RG5230220320 North 68th Street - West Stark Street: Lancaster Public School RG5230220321 North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive - West Ring Street: Hope Christian High School. Time for Completion: All work on this contract shall be completed by August 29, 2025. All work shall be completed prior to the start of the 2025/2026 school year. Liquidated Damages, per diem: $1000.00/Day. The residency requirements for this project have been waived. This project includes American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. Bidders must review and abide by the City's ARPA SWMBE Contract Compliance Procedures. The SMWBE/LSA requirement for this project is 25% of the contract base bid. The SMWBE/LSA Compliance Plan (Form A) must be submitted with the bid and is an element of bid responsiveness. SMWBE certificates must be submitted with the Form A. Incomplete SMWBE/LSA Compliance Plans (Form A) or inaccurate Compliance Plans will not be accepted and will render the bid unresponsive. The State of Wisconsin Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) directory is found here online. The contractor shall specifically note the SMWBE/LSA and apprenticeship forms for this project. If the forms are not filled out properly, it will be cause for rejection of the bid. Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. For those bids being submitted through online and using a manual Bond, the contractor may send a signed/executed copy of the bid bond to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by emailing DPWbids@milwaukee.gov. The emailed copy of the bond must be received by no later than 10:30 a.m. On the same date that the bids are due for that specific official notice, or the bid will be considered non-responsive. The original bid bond document must then be submitted by the contractor to the department of public works contract office in-person or by mail to 841 n Broadway, rm. 506, Milwaukee, Wi 53202, within 24 hours upon being notified that they are the apparent low bidder. Any required addenda or response related to listed projects will be posted on both the DPW and online websites. All Contractors awarded a contract valued at $25,000.00 or more are required to participate in training on the City of Milwaukee's B2GNow contract compliance software within 30 days of the contract award date. Throughout the contract term, Contractors are required to regularly provide timely subcontractor payment information in the City's contract compliance software. PAYROLL MONITORING REQUIREMENTS: The Prime Contractor awarded this project is required to participate in training on the City of Milwaukee's Labor Compliance Reporting (LCR) Software after the date of contract award.
