The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to from ready-mix concrete plants, which are VDOT approved, to provide on-call, as needed hydraulic cement concrete (ready-mix concrete) to various work locations/routes within Alleghany and Bath Counties of the Staunton District, including all towns and cities where routes are maintained by VDOT. It has been identified that VDOT needs to have ready-mix concrete available to handle various repairs in numerous locations. Therefore, it is VDOT's intent to establish multiple contracts to ensure that ready-mix concrete is available when needed at a reasonable cost, on time, and within close proximity to work locations. Awards will be made on a GRAND TOTAL LOT basis for the following: Lot 1 - Alleghany County Lot 2 - Bath County Question Deadline 05/30/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Rebecca Smith Coburn at Rebecca.Coburn@VDOT.Virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised T The contract period will be one (1) year with the effective date to be determined at the time of award.
