Renovation of a museum in Mashpee, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Construction level drawings for the restoration of the historic Attaquin House aka Mashpee Wampanoag Parsonage. This historic structure was built in 1849, thus this project requires a unique understanding of historic preservation and the rehabilitation treatment of this period building. The Project Architect must adhere to any applicable Tribal, Federal, county or state laws applicable to the project. The Attaquin House was placed on the Massachusetts Historical Commission listed inventories as a contributing element of the broader Local Historical District in 2007. The Project Architect will serve as the Architect of Record and must provide a unique understanding on preservation of historic structures and rehabilitation treatments relative to the degree of this project. Drawings will need to incorporate structural designs, electrical/mechanical engineering, HVAC, building code requirements, other applicable regulatory compliance to inform construction. Core Competencies: o Qualified to design project per Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties/Structures. o Prepare plans for construction level bidding; incorporate changes and repair work done after the completion of the schematic plans that were included in the Historic Structure Report (stabilization work) o Ideal candidate will demonstrate access to a team of professionals in the various disciplines that should include a structural and mechanical engineer. All bids must be sealed and properly labeled Attaquin House - Project Architect Proposal labeled on the envelope: Bids must include a Statement of Work, company description and resume of key employees who will work on the project, representatives' professional licenses, certifications, statement of experience on past historical preservation projects (include three unaffiliated references), no-collision statement, and line item bid break down with categorical total amounts.
