This is a Sources Sought Notice to identify design-build contractors capable of completing the planned B040-B084 Rear Loading Dock Accessibility Upgrades Project. This is not a for proposal or quotations and no award will be made from this Notice. SLAC intends to issue a formal later based on responses from this Source Sought Notice. BACKGROUND The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) is operated by Stanford University as a contractor for the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science (SC). SLAC supports a large national and international community of scientific users performing cutting-edge research in support of the DOE mission. The success of that mission is directly coupled to the general-purpose infrastructure necessary to conduct this research. PLANNED SCOPE AND DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES The scope of this project is to procure design-build services to address safety and accessibility issues at the B040/B084 loading dock area. This project will transition the space into a safe, functional, and compliant environment through infrastructure upgrades that meet current safety, accessibility, and operational standards. The selected design-build (DB) team will be responsible for all design and ion activities, ensuring a seamless process from concept to completion. Collaboration with SLAC's Building Inspection Office and other relevant stakeholders is essential to the project's success. DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SLAC will use a lowest-price technically -acceptable selection method to identify the most qualified design-build subcontractor. The draft Request for Proposal and relevant references are provided to present the general scope and acquisition method for the project.
