Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a educational facility; and educational facility.

The work of this bid category includes but is not limited to providing all labor, equipment, materials, scaffolding, hoisting and incidentals to complete the concrete work in accordance with the specifications, drawings and applicable codes. All work is to be performed as shown on the plans and specified herein. Questions must be directed to Don Harrison, Purchasing Agent at dharriso1@wccnet.edu. All communication should be directed to the Purchasing Department. Vendor should NOT contact any department directly with questions. All questions must be submitted by 05/26/2025 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. All emails must reference the bid number and title. All questions received by the deadline date will be answered and posted to the WCC Budget & Purchasing website by 05/28/2025 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. The contractor shall provide a schedule/workplan on obtaining the necessary permits, materials, and procurement of long-lead items, to begin work and complete the work as scheduled for review by the Owner within 2 weeks of award. Contractor to provide barricades, fencing required and signage to maintain required safety regulations as defined by OSHA. Contractor to coordinate and adhere to all state and local building codes relative to this contractor's work. This contractor is to obtain and pay for all special permits associated with the work. Contractor to clean-up of all trash or construction debris is by the trade contractors daily. D. This contractor MUST comply with MI-OSHA requirements for this work. This will be closely monitored. Contractor and all its sub-contractors are to observe the College's no smoking policy. Contractor's and employees' vehicles to be parked in designated parking lots as noted on site logistics plan. Unloading areas for tools and materials will be available at the building on a temporary basis. This project is scheduled to begin 8/18/2025 with a date of final completion on or before 6/30/2026. The contractor is responsible to bid the work as described in the drawings and specifications. B. Remove and replace sections of concrete sidewalk around campus. Reference drawing provided for specific locations of replacement. Contractor to field verify all areas and measurements provided. C. Replace the section removed with same depth of concrete with a mix of 6 bag mix with fiber mesh. Provide a broom finish and use a concrete cure on top. D. The contractor will use #5 re-rod to pin the new work to the existing slab 12" on center. E. All spoils must be removed daily. No stockpiling on campus allowed. F. Contractor is responsible to protect all work being performed. That means all barricades required as well as signs. G. Base materials to be compacted H. Contractor is required to wet cut all the concrete being removed. I. Contractor is required to provide steel cover plates for all trenches being removed until the new concrete is placed A Bid Bond is required in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, minimum, and shall be enclosed with the Bid Proposal, for all base bids categories in excess of $50,000.00. BPerformance Bond and Payment Bond requirements are described in the General and/or Supplementary Conditions and are one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid, minimum, for all bids in excess of $50,000.00. The right to accept or reject any and all bids is reserved by the Owner.
