Demolition, site work and addition to an office development in Medford, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the addition of a 962-square-foot office development.

As of June 20 2025 this project has an apparent low bidder *Addendum 1 and 2 have been issued. Advertisement for Bids Proposed Office Addition Taylor County ADRC Taylor County, Wisconsin Taylor County Buildings, Grounds & Parks will accept sealed bids until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 224 S. Second Street, Medford, WI 54451. **Outside of the bid envelope shall be marked, "Attention: Joe Svejda Sealed Bid-Proposed Office Addition- Taylor County ADRC Office Addition, Taylor County, Wisconsin. ** It is solely the Bidders responsibility to ensure the bid is received at the designated place on time. Bids will be opened and read aloud at 1:00 p.m. at the 3rd Floor County Board Room. Bids are for the addition and alteration of a 962 sq. ft, one-story, slab-on-grade, wood framed fire office addition. Lump sum bids will be accepted as follows: 1) General Contract - including Site Work, General Construction, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Location- 845 E Broadway Ave Medford, WI 54451 Outside of the bid envelope shall be marked, "Attention: Joe Svejda Sealed Bid-Proposed Office Addition- Taylor County ADRC Office Addition, Taylor County, Wisconsin. Lump sum bids will be accepted as follows:1) General Contract - including Site Work, General Construction, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing. Bids are to include all labor, materials, equipment, and all else necessary for completion of project. Successful bidder will be required to provide a performance guarantee in the form of a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. Bid documents may be obtained from Ratsch Engineering Company, Ltd., 547 Hewett Street, P.O. Box 189, Neillsville, WI 54456. Phone: (715) 743-2240 or FAX (715) 743-4469. Request for plans to be mailed shall be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of $20 to cover postage and handling. No bid will be received or considered unless accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% (five percent) of the bid payable to Taylor County as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance security within ten days from the date the bid is accepted. In the event, the bidder fails to execute the contract and security within the time set by the Owner, the bid security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. Owner reserves the right to retain the bid security of the three lowest responsible bidders. When the agreement is executed, the bid security of the two remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned. Owner will accept the bid and award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder subject to the terms contained in the project manual. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous to the Owner. No bids may be withdrawn for 45 days after the day of the bid opening. This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer. A. General Construction Base Bid (to include concrete, site work, general construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and all necessary to construct the Proposed Office Addition) A1 Alternate Bid - A1- Remove or replace existing carpet and base in Rooms 001, 002 ,003, 005, 006, 007, 008, 011. Add or Deduct (Circle one) A2 Alternate Bid - A2- Remove existing vc tile in toilet rooms 009 & 010. Replace with sheet vinyl. Add or Deduct (Circle one) A3 Alternate Bid - A3- Where the plan calls for painting the bottom of roof deck with DC310 Fire paint, provide alternate bid to remove existing plywood and replace with fire treated plywood. Add or Deduct (Circle one) Schedule- Work shall commence on August 1, 2025 and shall be substantially completed by January 31, 2026, with concrete work completed by October 15, 2025. Failure to complete on time or delays caused by the contractor on the job shall result in liquidated damages to the Owner in the amount of $250 per calendar day for each calendar day after the Substantial Completion Date.
