Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Hope, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is seeking quotations from qualified contractors to supply and install three (3) sets of commercial-grade double-leaf emergency exit doors on the north side of the Hope and Area Recreation Centre Arena. This includes the removal of existing 18-gauge steel doors, installation of new 18-gauge steel replacements, and all associated hardware and finishing work as outlined below. Contractors will be responsible for: Removing three (3) sets of 36" x 84" x 1.75" 18-gauge steel doors and hardware, and recycling all removed materials. Verifying the condition of existing steel door frames. If frames are found to be damaged beyond their expected service life, this must be reported to the owner. Supplying and installing new 18-gauge steel doors into the existing frames, ensuring the doors are ready for priming and painting (by owner). Installing commercial-grade hardware, including: Von Duprin 9827/9927 series panic exit hardware Stainless steel hinges and screws Thresholds, astragals, and weather stripping Reinstalling alarm system contacts Verifying that all doors and hardware are fully functional and meet security and public safety standards upon completion. Providing a warranty covering both parts and labour. All sizing, hardware layout, and hinge locations must be confirmed on-site by the contractor prior to fabrication and installation.
