A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** General work description: The project involves the installation of various site amenities, including a walking loop, picnic tables, benches, pavilions, shade structures, a gathering space, splash pad, hydration stations, pedestrian and sports court lighting, new sod, planters, and an updated irrigation system. Utility upgrades include an irrigation pump, water service, electrical service, and sanitary sewer connections. You must perform, place, construct, or install other items and details not mentioned that are required of the plans under the Standard Specifications and special provisions. No bid will be received unless it is made on a bid form furnished by the MERCED COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. Copies or facsimiles of the bidders completed and executed bid forms submitted as a bid will be rejected. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bidders bond made payable to the COUNTY OF MERCED for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. The Contractor must have either a Class A license or a combination of class C licenses that make up a majority of the work. The successful bidder will be required to obtain a Merced County Business License before execution of the contract at his own expense. Demonstrate meeting splash pad specifications by providing technical documents and drawings for the splash pad under the special provisions in your bid proposal. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The DBE Goal is Zero, however the use of DBE firms are encouraged. Complete work within 100 working days, excluding plant establishment days.
