The City of Madison Traffic Engineering (City) is soliciting Bids from qualified vendors for Green Markings for Regent St. and Monroe St. Vendors submitting Bids ("Bidders") are required to read this Request for Bids ("RFB") in its entirety and follow the instructions contained herein. This project includes removing existing pavement markings and applying new markings along the bike path and crosswalks at the Monroe Street & Regent Street intersection. The existing MMA green is worn away, and the remaining old green shall be removed as best as possible to allow adhesion of the new preformed thermoplastic green. A picture of the current condition is included in the plan sheets. Work should be completed during off-peak travel times, defined as weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. One travel lane shall be maintained in each direction with the following allowable closures: Southbound Monroe Street general traffic through movement may be closed and forced to turn right (westbound). However, Metro bus Route D shall be allowed through (one bus every 15 minutes) Northbound Monroe Street traffic may be forced to turn right onto eastbound Regent Street WB Regent Street right turns are already not allowed All work shall be completed by Friday, August 1, 2025.
