Main Library Window Replacement: This Project Includes the Replacement of Glass Windows in the Main City Library With Modern Energy-efficient Windows. Question Deadline 06/17/2025 at 2:00 PM PT Please Note All Questions Must Be Submitted to Contracts@albanyoregon.gov A 10% Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check Must Accompany Each Bid on All Projects and Must Be Forfeited if the Bidder Fails to Enter Into a Contract With the City of Albany Within 10 Days After the Date of the Notice of Award. City is projecting a start date of July 15, 2025. Completion-Friday, October 31, 2025 (the target date), Friday, November 14, 2025, the ultimate completion date. This Project includes removing, replacing, and disposing of existing windows at the Albany City Main Library with new, modern (not outdated), energy-efficient, high-performance, insulated window replacement. City will not consider or accept used or returned product inventory of framed or windowpane replacements. Window replacement specifications are described in the Technical Specifications and must be met by the Contractor. No substitutes will be considered. All panes must be double pane windows sized to fit the measurements provided in the Schedule of Contract Prices and the Technical Specifications. The windowpanes must be SolarCool Bronze reflective No. 1 over SB90 (Solarban90) 4 coat Low-Emissivity 2 with Argon gas. The selected glass is widely used in the industry and should be readily available for vendor acquisition. The aluminum frames for the Northwest view require a dark bronze color. A detailed construction schedule of all work relating to this project must be submitted in advance by email to the Project Manager Rick Barnett, Parks & Facilities Maintenance Manager, rick.barnett@albanyoregon.gov for discussion at the preconstruction meeting.
