Briefly summarized, the project consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment necessary for the installation of approximately 970-LF of 12-inch drainage pipe, 12 drainage structures, full-depth pavement reclamation, 1,450 linear feet of asphalt berm, approximately 4,435 tons of hot mix asphalt, driveway aprons and all appurtenances. Also included is all work associated with the repair of areas impacted by the work under this Contract, and traffic, both pedestrian and vehicular control measures. Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Contract Documents shall make a written request to the Engineer and Town of Brookfield Highway Department. The Engineer or Town of Brookfield will answer such requests if received seven (7) calendar days before the date for receipt of the bids. No oral requests shall be honored. This project is being electronically bid and hard copy bids will not be accepted. There is a refundable deposit of $50.00 per set (maximum of 2 sets) payable to Online. Deposits must be electronically paid or by certified or cashier's check. Bidders requesting contract documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate non-refundable check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to Online, to cover mailing costs. Plan deposits may be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders upon return of the sets within ten (10 days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise, the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority.
