The City of Guttenberg has received an Iowa Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant which will be administered through Upper Explorerland. The project will consist of replacing the existing Dekalb Street Pump Station Motor Control Center. The Motor Control Center Replacement will include the following items: 1200 A 480V 3 Phase Main Breaker 1200 A 480V 3 Phase Automatic Transfer Switch External Generator Connection Cabinet 120/240V Single Phase Transformer 120/240V Single Phase Sub-Panel 200 HP 480V 3 Phase Variable Frequency Drives for each pump Primary Pulsar PSL 5.0 Automatic Station Level Control Secondar Pulsar REFLECT Level Controller Operation Sequencer Cellular Notification Connection to Other Existing General Circuits (lighting, fans, receptacles, etc.) Replacement of a building access door. Work on the improvement shall commence on or before the date specified in the written "Notice to Proceed" and the project shall be completed by May 30, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per day will be assessed for each day that the work shall remain uncompleted after the completion date, with due allowance for extension of contract period due to conditions beyond the control of the Contractor, as approved by the Owner. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructionsto Bidders. Each biddershall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8 and as specified by the Owner. The bid security shall be 5 percent of the total amount of the Bid. The improvements shall be kept and maintained in good repair for a period of 2 years after substantial completion. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates will apply to this project and are included in this specification or will be provided in an addendum. The City of Guttenberg, Iowa, hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities and award a contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible Bidder.
