All bids rejected and will be rebid. The Nueces River Authority has a contract to manage the McMullen County Utility Improvement Project. This project is for the construction of a potable water well capable of producing a minimum of 250 gallons per minute. All other improvements will be constructed as part of an additional phase of the project. The NUECES RIVER AUTHORITY will receive sealed Bids or the construction of a Potable Water Well capable of producing 250 gallons per minute minimum. 1 Well pumps. 2. Well casings. 3. Well screens. A. Water well with following characteristics: 1. Minimum Water Production: 250 gpm. 2. Total Well Depth: Estimated 5,400 ft below grade (or per driller recommendation) 3. Pump Setting: 400 ft depth (or per driller recommendation) The Nueces River Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Bids received and to waive any and all formalities in regard thereto. Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 90 calendar days following the Bid opening as specified in Section 105 of this document. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the Owner in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Owner as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The Deadline for questions is 9/12/2025 at 12:01 PM CT - On request, Owner will provide Bidder access to the Site to conduct such examinations, investigations, explorations, tests, and studies, as Bidder deems necessary for submission of a Bid. Bidder shall fill all holes, clean up, and restore the Site to its former condition upon completion of such explorations, investigations, tests, and studies. Hydrogeologist Services - Study prior to Water Well Installation (Approved by NRA) 1. Review of McMullen County Groundwater Conservation District Rules and summary of necessary tasks required to stay in compliance prior to, during and after installation of the Calliham Water Well. 2. Review of available groundwater well data to be used to inform Calliham Water Well Design including screen type, diameter, and length, surface and intermediate casing size and depth, pump depth, and all associated appurtenances etc. 3. Review of available geophysical logs run on oil/gas wells to provide insight into formation depth, thickness, quality, and to inform Well Design. 4. Apply desktop Hydrogeologic assessment as a basis to provide comments and recommendations on Bid Proposal Form and Water Well Technical Specifications, approach and methods to drill, log, construct, develop, and Water Well test.
