Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Borough of Hamburg Borough Council will accept sealed Proposals, in triplicate, for the Etchberger Memorial Park Pickleball Courts. The project includes approximately 172 tons of bituminous paving, and approximately 320 linear feet of 8 vinyl coated chain link fence installation. It is noted that Borough staff will be responsible for all E&S control installation and removal, excavation and grading, permanent seeding, and aggregate subbase placement. A ten percent (10%) bid security must accompany each sealed proposal. All submission of bids must be on the bid forms provided with the contract specifications. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A Certificate of Insurance showing proof of liability insurance and workers compensation insurance must also be provided, as specified in the bid documents. These items shall be provided within ten (10) days of the Notice of Intent to Award date. Notice is given that the Work is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provisions of said act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. Escalator provisions relative to bituminous materials shall not apply to this Contract. The Borough of Hamburg reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids or portions thereof, to delete projects and/or portions of projects based upon budget constraints, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the BOROUGH OF HAMBURG, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The Borough also reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid. All Work contained within the contract shall be completed in full within thirty (30) calendar days of Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages shall apply to the contract for Work not completed in full within the specified time period. The anticipated Notice to Proceed is approximately August 1, 2025.
