Start/Delivery Date September 2025 Project Duration Initial two year period with option to renew additional two years The City of Redlands is hereby soliciting formal proposals for Landscape Maintenance Services for Parks, Center Medians, Community Districts, and Cemetery. Proposals are being solicited from qualified Service Providers to provide routine landscape maintenance services for specified City parks, center medians throughout the City, Community Facility Districts (CFD), Landscape Maintenance Districts (LMD), and Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery. The selected service provider must possess practical experience with Caltrans Adopt-a-Highway Program, including the ability to process the required encroachment permits and comply with all Caltrans guidelines. The proposal is divided into four sections: Part A covers mowing-only landscape maintenance, Part B includes full landscape maintenance services, Part C outlines modified landscape maintenance for LMD areas, and Part D focuses on landscape maintenance for Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery. Hillside Memorial Park is a distinctive site within the City, and its proper upkeep requires a dedicated crew to perform weekly landscape maintenance. The selected service provider will be responsible for supplying the necessary workforce to ensure all City-maintained landscapes are properly and consistently maintained. A detailed description of the proposed services is included in this proposal. PART A. TURF MOWING MAINTENANCE ONLY The City requires turf mowing only for specific parks. Services shall include: o Routine mowing of turf areas to maintain a functional and aesthetically pleasing appearance o Parks with sports playing fields (soccer, baseball, flag football) are not part of the mowing Scope. Perimeter turf (around sports fields) are the areas of mow only. o Coordination with City staff on mowing frequency and scheduling Note: No edging, irrigation, or other services are included in Part A. Mowing only Scope for these specific park areas. PART B. FULL-SERVICE MAINTENANCE Landscaped center medians and 13 Community Facility Districts (CFD) throughout the City require comprehensive maintenance, including: o Turf mowing, weed whacking, and edging of all turf areas o Vine, shrub, ground cover maintenance, fertilization/replacement o Blow/sweep of hardscape surfaces, curb, gutter o Irrigation system inspection, repairs, and controller programming o Weed control (manual and/or chemical) o Pest control o Empty trash receptacles, debris/litter removal o Inspection of playground/exercise equipment o Inspection of BBQ and picnic areas, clean out BBQ, trash receptacles o Retention basin maintenance o DG pathway maintenance, inspection of exercise pads o Fertilization, aeration, seasonal turf care o CFD Locations with citrus groves require weed and pest control o Light trimming of trees from ground to maintain 6' of ground clearance, as needed o Seasonal seeding or sod replacement, as needed o Seasonal planting or plant replacement, as needed PART C. MOW AND EDGE MAINTENANCE - LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICTS (LMD) Maintenance of landscaped areas within five LMD tracts shall include a mow and edge service scope: o Turf mowing, weed whacking, and edging of all turf areas o Weed control (manual and/or chemical) o Irrigation inspections and repairs, and controller programming o Trash/debris removal o Blowing and general site cleanliness PART D. SPECIALIZED GROUNDS MAINTENANCE - HILLSIDE MEMORIAL PART CEMETERY Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery is a historic site requiring sensitive and respectful maintenance, including: o Turf mowing, weed whacking, and edging of all turf areas o Edging with a string trimmer o Weed control o Blowing of paved and gravel walkways o Light trimming of trees from the ground to maintain 6' ground clearance, as needed o Flower beds, rose trimming o Special care and handwork around: o Upright monuments o Mausoleums o Crypts and vaults o Garden of Serenity Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 06/11/2025 4:00 PM (PDT) License Requirements C27, City of Redlands business license Project Type RFP (Request for Proposal) Response Types Cost File Type of Award Lump Sum Contract value- city wide $566,624 (agreement total) cemetery $76,275 (agreement total)
