445537 , W9127N26BA005 The work consists of focused repairs to selected pile dike structures located on the Lower Columbia River where the loss of all or most visible piles has significantly compromised hydraulic function. Repairs are limited to specific sections of individual pile dikes and include enrockment repair and enhancement at ten pile dikes, as well as construction of a shore connection with an offset pile dike at five of those locations. The offset pile dikes and shore connections are required in areas exhibiting visible shoreline erosion, insufficient remaining shore connection, and potential for continued erosion. Enrockment repair and enhancement areas will be offset far enough from the existing pile lines to allow placement of stone without removing any existing piles. All debris within proposed rock placement areas that would interfere with stone placement must be removed prior to placement. Removed debris shall be transported offsite and disposed of at an approved upland disposal facility. Debris removal requirements will be determined using pre-construction high-resolution multibeam bathymetric survey data. The project will be awarded as a single fixed-price contract through an Invitation for Bid process, with award made to the lowest priced, responsible, and responsive offeror, contingent upon completion of the National Environmental Policy Act process.
