This project is located on the West Virginia Turnpike and consists of repairing substructure units with pneumatically applied concrete. There are approximately 71 square yards of repairs up to 15' working height and 26 square yards above 15' working height on Bridges 3030N and 3030S. Proposals must be made via Bid Express in the manner designated in the specifications, and must be accompanied by a CASHIER'S or CERTIFIED CHECK or BID BOND in favor of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, FOR AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE AMOUNT OF THE PROPOSAL OR $2,000 WHICHEVER IS THE GREATER, and must be delivered to the office of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, Administration Building, 3310 Piedmont Road, Charleston, West Virginia 25306 on or before the day and hour named. Prospective bidders must be prequalified in accordance with SECTION 102.1 of the WVDOH Standard Specifications. Bid bonds may instead be submitted electronically via Bid Express. ANY BID THAT IS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY A BID BOND DELIVERED ELECTRONICALLY VIA Online OR A CASHIER'S CHECK, A CERTIFIED CHECK, OR A BID BOND DELIVERED AT THE PLACE DESIGNATED ABOVE ON OR BEFORE THE DAY AND HOUR NAMED WILL BE CONSIDERED IRREGULAR. All bids submitted by bidders who have been debarred or declared ineligible by the Director of the Purchasing Division shall be rejected. The Authority strongly encourages Minority Owned and Women Owned businesses to submit proposals for this contract. The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals submitted, and to waive any or all formalities in bidding, as it may deem in its best interest.
