The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and incidentals as necessary to inspect, maintain and ensure the proper operation of the stand-by generators by performing bi-annual Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI) of generators (including automatic & manual transfer switches), full load bank testing on diesel powered generator sets and perform any necessary on call or emergency repairs. Repair services outside of the PMI will be on a time and materials basis. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. The initial period of the contract shall be for a one (1) year period with the effective date to be determined at the time of award (renewable). VDOT reserves the right to add or remove generators at any time from this contract without penalty. Maintenance of any generator added to the contract, which if of like capacity, will be billed at the current contract rates. All other contract requirements, terms and conditions shall apply to additional units.
