Reference Number 0000388826 The Westborough Department of Public Works - Water Division is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the surveying, inspection, and testing of cross connections and backflow devices connected to the Town of Westborough's water distribution network. Requirements (approximate): Backflow devices tested twice per year (Comm/Municipal): 555/58 Backflow devices tested once per year (Comm/Municipal): 339/7 Cross connection surveys (new construction/modified plumbing/annual): 180 The selected contractor will perform surveys, inspections, and tests of all commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal facilities as requested by the Department of Public Works - Water Division and required by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The backflow devices to be tested could be in manholes or vaults, or inside buildings such as hospitals, nursing homes, labs, restaurants, businesses, or other public buildings that could be a source of contamination into the water supply.
