The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project SU-082324, titled Masonry Repairs of Campus Underpass and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: The scope of work includes removing old Masonry Brick from parapet walls and adjacent walls as identified in the drawings. Furnishing and installing new masonry brick, lintels, ties, and waterproofing as outlined in the drawings. Removing existing aluminum railing, storing it safely, and reinstalling it at parapet walls. Removing existing granite coping, storing it safely, and reinstalling as per specifications, drawings, and details. There will be a Question Period from June 4 through June 23, 2025, C.O.B. During this time, any questions must be submitted in writing (no telephone calls) to the following email address sayim.malik@purchase.edu. The email should reference the project in the subject line and include prospective bidder contact information. A response to all questions submitted within the Question Period and any required Addenda will be posted no later than the close of business on June 24, 2025. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The Prevailing Rate Case (PRC) Number assigned to this project is PRC# 2025005996 - Masonry Repairs of Underpass. All work on this Contract is to be completed within three hundred sixty (360) calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
