Reference Number 0000388846 The City of Santa Paula Department of Public Works invites qualified contractors to submit an application for prequalification for construction of phase I of the Advanced Water Treatment Facility (AWTF) Project. The project will be completed northeast of the existing plant and construction sequencing will be coordinated with the City to maintain operation of the existing Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). The AWTF is designed to treat a side-stream of the WRF treated effluent, up to a flowrate of 500 gpm for phase I of construction, and up to a flowrate of 1,000 gpm for phase II of construction resulting in blended WRF effluent with a chloride concentration less than 110 mg/L to meet existing permit requirements. Average daily WRF flows are currently 1.5 to 2.5 MGD. This prequalification process is for the Phase 1 project only. The opinion of probable construction cost for phase I is approximately $18 million. Each contractor wishing to participate in bidding for the contract to construct the City of Santa Paula AWTF Project, Phase I as a general Contractor must fully complete the Questionnaire included with this package, provide all information and materials requested and satisfy the prequalification criteria.
