Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive informal written quotes from qualified suppliers for the Purchase of Sodium Chloride on an Annual Contract for the Department of Water Resources. The intent of this contract is to obtain pricing for Sodium Chloride for a 12-month period with four (4) renewal options. The County will award deemed in its best interest. Each bid is limited to a single Sodium Chloride product. There is no guaranteed minimum or maximum amount of product that the Department of Water Resources will purchase under this annual contract. Quotes are legal and binding upon the vendor when submitted. Gwinnett County owns and operates two (2) Water Production Facilities, the Lanier Filter Plant (150 mgd permitted capacity) and the Shoal Creek Filter Plant (98 mgd permitted capacity). The source water for both facilities originate from Lake Lanier. The product will be utilized to generate Sodium Hypochlorite for the disinfection and oxidation of water prior to discharge. Successful contractors will be required to meet insurance requirements. The Insurance Company should be authorized to do business in Georgia by the Georgia Insurance Department and must have an A.M. Best rating of A-7 or higher.
