This is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for construction services to replace the concrete pathway located at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument Replace Concrete Pathway at Visitor Center This is a request for quotation. The resulting contract is expected to be a firm fixed price construction contract. Project Description: The project involves removal and relocation of existing site boulders; demolition of approximately 60 SF of concrete slab; careful removal of the bench embedded in the concrete slab and reinstallation via surface mounting with anchor bolts adjacent to the visitor center; placement of approximately 750 SF of reinforced concrete paving, ensuring connection to existing concrete paving at both ends. Project Location: Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument Visitor Center Area, 15807 Co Rd 1, Florissant, CO 80816 Magnitude of Project: Between $25,000 and $100,000. Work shall replace existing crushed fines pathway adjacent the visitor center with reinforced concrete pavement on aggregate base to meet Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standards (ABAAS). Project includes removal and relocation of approximately 14 CY of crushed fines; relocation of existing site boulders; removal of approximately 60 SF of concrete slab; careful removal of bench embedded into concrete slab and surface mounting with anchor bolts adjacent visitor center; placement of approximately 750 SF reinforced concrete paving connecting to existing concrete paving on each end. Existing features to remain shall be protected. All work shall be performed in a workmanship like manner. 2. Contractor shall be responsible for verification of slopes to confirm compliance with ABAAS and insure positive drainage away from building. 3. Review layout in field with CO for approval prior to installation of new work. 4. Installation of safety signs and barriers for visitors and park staff. 5. Work is expected to start July/August and 100% completion October 2025. 90 days within Notice to Proceed. C. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract.
