This project includes installing approximately 80 LF of 12-inch restrained joint Ductile Iron Pipe in 24-inch Steel Casing pipe by bore and jack. The casing pipe will cross under Dollywood Lane (TN-449). Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. Standard shipping is two-day delivery. Digital downloads will be available from the Issuing Office at online for a non-refundable fee of $50.00. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, and Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in the amount of five percent of the total bid amount in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities therein. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
