SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor(s) shall provide the snow removal equipment listed with experienced, licensed operators, supervision, fuel, tools, parts, supplies, and all incidentals as necessary for safe and efficient snow removal operation. The work will consist of but not be limited to anti-icing, snow and ice control, snow blowing operations, melting, hauling, and respond to emergency/incidents on VDOT roadways. Work shall be performed on an as needed basis for the General-Purpose Lanes as defined in the Lots below. All Lots will include all ramps, connectors, shoulders, police parking lots and emergency crossovers. LOT 1 - NOVA - I-95/I-395 from MM 9.7 VA/DC Line to MM 148 in PW/Stafford County. LOT 2 - NOVA - I-66/Rt 267 (Dulles Access Connector) from MM 36.7 Fauquier/PW Line to MM 75.1 VA/DC Line LOT 3 - NOVA - Beltway(I-495) from MM 42.3 to MM 56.5 & MM 170.7 to MM 174.5 In order to be responsive, Bidders shall offer all of the Snow Removal Equipment and Operators listed for any lot bid, in the quantities indicated. Bidders bidding on more than one (1) VDOT snow removal solicitation within the Northern Virginia District shall have a sufficient number of pieces of Snow Removal Equipment and Operators for each bid. No Contractor shall be awarded multiple contracts for a single piece of Equipment as identified by the vehicle identification number (VIN). additional pre bid meeting note: Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the specifications/scope of work and requirements of this solicitation, attendance at this pre-bid conference will be a prerequisite for submitting a bid. Bids will only be accepted from those bidders who are represented at this pre-bid conference. Attendance at the conference will be evidenced by the representative's signature on the attendance roster. No one will be admitted to join the conference after 9:05 AM EST. Have a copy of the solicitation with you; copies will not be provided by the Contract Officer. Any changes resulting from this conference will be issued in a written addendum to the solicitation. Attendees will be required to sign in at the security desk located at the building's visitor entrance of the building located at 8010 Mason King Court, Manassas, VA 20109 and present photo identification issued by a state or federal entity in order to gain access to the building. Examples of acceptable photo identification include, but are not limited to, a current driver's license or passport. All attendees will be given directions to the specific meeting location. Attendees must also sign out at the security desk before leaving the building.
