Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Approximate quantities of somesignificant work items are: Asphalt Surface Course: 765Tons A proposal guaranty shall accompany each bid. The guarantyshall be either a bid bond (executed on the form furnished by the Owner), cashier's check, certified check, or other negotiable instrument equivalent to (5) percent ofthe amount of the bid, as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his/her bid, executethe Contract and cause to be executed a Performance Bond andPayment Bond, acceptable to theOwner, within 10 calendar daysfollowing notice of contractaward. Such proposal guarantyshall be made payable to the Cityof Arkadelphia. It is the policy of the City ofArkadelphia that disadvantagedbusiness enterprises, as definedin 49 CFR Part 23, shall have themaximum opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts. The Bidder must supply all the information required by the proposal form. Women will be afforded equalopportunity in all areas of employment. However, the employment of women shall not diminish the standards or requirements for theemployment of minorities. The City of Arkadelphia reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities, except for conditions affecting Executive Order 11246. Bids must remain in effect for60 days after the bid opening date.
