THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER OR BIDDERS will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond, in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and satisfactory to the Owner as required by Article 5160 V.A.T.C.S This project will provide for the repaving of existing asphaltic pavement in a simultaneous multi-step process of heating, scarifying, thoroughly remixing to the specified depth and reshaping of the old asphaltic surface, applying an asphalt recycling modifier, then placing an overlay of new asphaltic concrete pavement for the specified thickness and miscellaneous improvements upon selected City streets. A wedge will be milled in the curb and gutter streets along the gutter lines. The wedge will be 1" deep and 5 feet to 8 feet wide. The mill depth will be measured from the curb edge. Street terminations will be wedge milled 1.0"over a width of 20 feet. Some driveways may require additional work for property owners to be able to access their property without dragging of vehicle undercarriages.
